As my van is u/s, i am yet again considering the validity of keeping one.i only do about 3k a yr in it,sometimes it can sit several wks without use,& then on site 3 days a wk for 2/3 wks,i dont want to stop site jobs ,anyway many workshop projects req' installing & theres the inevitable trips to the galvanizers. It costs approx £1k p/a in static costs,so am considering the practicalities of a trailer van big enough to work in during bad weather, with a removeable tool cupboard that can be q/d for use in my 2 open trailers or a smaller van should future circumstances change.me & my partner have a car each & a camper van & a m/bike -i want to rationalise somewhat,i'm interested to hear if other people have operated their business with a trailer van sucessfully? the only drawback i envisage, being accessability/parking as many sites i visit are single track roads & small yards with tight angled entrances.
