from center to center it is 10" to 12", pully's are 3".
am I right in thinking 2x3=6 + 20= 26" v belt?
or is there a different way of working it out.
I've made my own pedestal polisher same as the picture below.
If the pulleys are 3" you want to use 1/2 the circumference of each pulley, which will add up to the circumference of one pulley.
Pi x D =9.4" then add on 2 x center distance.
nice job johnakay,if you go to fenners or any reputable vee belt shop & tell them your pulley outer diameters or pitch circle diameters,spindle centres & vee belt section ie a b z they will sort you out with the right size belt or even take your pulleys in to be 100% sure
make sure you check your section, small belts are normaly A sections, tho they could be Bs, Z, or Vs
I use the old Zeus book to check me sections and normally by pulleys to suit per app.... Our local bearing boys are second to none, they've have even opened Sundays and evenings for me when iv been in the Shiite, worth trying your local place....
