Using SS pickle paste

Well, I could've maybe better started a thread: Stainless pickle paste, but to avoid confusion with the other one, a new one is spawned...

This stuff is quite hectic and I just read a little what it does. How do you guys use it? is a good set of gloves and working outdoors OK or is an acid breather and decent face mask a must? I'll only use it to treat the weld seams and mostly of small projects...

With respect. That's how I use anything like that.

So; Long Nitrile Gloves. Face Mask, and a set of overalls only used for this job in a well ventilated area, with easy access to running water.

Before I started to use overalls a couple of times my clothes have been splashed which I then transferred this to my hands and then face and it does burn, not too bad but enough to make sure it doesn't happen again

Read this and if you've got one of the stronger pastes buy some calcium gluconate gel yesterday.

Will read it ASAP, but looking at your post, i guess it will be about HF. That stuff is nobodies friend. Ties to the calcium in your blood to form insoluble residue in your blood vessels... OK, more reading to do.

Nasty stuff I absently mindedly took a whiff of the fumes in one of those moments of epic stupidity, nearly took my head off. Treat it carefully, work outside and keep upwind of it.
