Hi, I'm a grey-haired novice. I have a Cigweld Transmig 135 which is rated at 240 volts/10 amps input (in Australia). According to physics when I was at school this means that the maximum it should require from the power source is 2.4 kilowatts.
Does this mean that if I want to run it from a portable generator (for remote jobs) I'll need something like a 3kVa generator? Assuming that the generator is functioning correctly, is this safe for the welder?
Thanks,
NigelO
