This might sound like a dumb question (as I understand how they are supposed to work) but what is the best way to use these?
I have never had any success with mine
No matter what I do I end up going squint, breaking the item I'm supposed to be removing or just reaching stalemate.
I sometimes wonder if the 4 nuts/bolts that hold the legs to the yoke via the 'hinges' are the problem.
Should these be tightened up, so that there is no movement at all in the joints, or should there be some slack so that the knees can bend in out the tool draws the item off.
Or are they just rubbish?
Would a hydraulic Sykes-Pickavant type do the job much better?
