using 1mm mig wire

i have bought some rolls of wire,
to use with my murex mig,
and have some full rolls 15kg, of 1mm wire,[along with .6 and .8]
and i was wondering if its too big for hobby use, im restoring a vw,
it does seem very thick when compared to .8 and .6..
i may look to sell it or swap if it turns out to be too big for my uses,

1mm wire won't be much use for welding cars, it's more suited to thicker steel and when you want to lay down a lot of weld quickly.

Well I have welded thin stuff with thick wire but would suggest that you would be better using the thinner stuff.

What welder do you have. You will need a good one to keep things stable at low amps on 1mm.
