Ebay in a word, or otherwise know in the UK as fleabay. There might be some different outlets in the USA, but local papers over here carry adverts for unwanted household stuff, but seeing a welder in those is rare. give fleabay a shot, if you can find one thats local that you can check works before handing over your dollars would be better, than getting one sent by UPS or similar

Hi Turbogn. This is a UK based site so we mainly discuss european makes. I think you're best off keeping an eye on Ebay for miller and lincoln stuff, I just picked up a Miller AC/DC tig unit on there for not much money. Most of the industrial second-hand stuff over here is esab, murex, BOC etc

I have gotten a lot of stuff both. My 5 welders (1 new) and supplies from ebay. A/C outside unit, trailer wheels, scrap metal, power tools, french doors from craigs list.
Craigslist.org is best as it is local and no fees. You can go look at things first.
Ebay has lots of stuff, but shipping can be an issue. I usually select a category and select "Sort by distance, nearest first". That is how I found the 3 welders sitting 5 miles away.
