I cannot seem to find the rules regarding the posting of items in the forum mentioned in the title to this thread. I joined in December just gone so could somebody enlighten me as to the regulations. I do not have anything to post yet but I am going to an auction tomorrow and might have the opportunity to buy a couple of items that others might find useful i.e.sheet metal folder, sheet metal roller.

The rules on this form are draconian, new members have to take part in terrible rituals and debase themselves before they are allowed to do diddly squat.

Of course I have to have first dibs on anything you put up for sale.
Otherwise I think it might be a minimum of ten posts before you are allowed to give me your bargains.
Basically this forum has among the most relaxed rules I have seen on the interweb thingy and also has probably the fewest trolls and idiots of any forum I have ever looked at. There are even a few knowledgeable people around, truly odd that.

One forum I'm on has 60 days and 25 posts before you can even view the classifieds.
Works well though, sorts the wheat from the chaff so to speak.
They also have a strictly enforced rule that ALL dealings must take place openly on the forum and that you can only go to PM once a deal has been struck.

Personally I think we're maybe a little too relaxed about it on here but it's mostly worked ok so far.
To my knowledge only one member has got his fingers burnt by buying something that cost him a fair bit to have repaired even though we did all we could to assist him in sorting it out with the seller.
