Some months ago one of the members of my local shed told me of some steel balustrade which had been taken down and that could be going for free just a few yards down the road. We went and took a look and asked the lads doing the building work what was going to happen to it.
"Taking it down the dump".
"Can we take it off your hands?".
"Help yourselves".
So we did. The lockdown came along and the steel sat gathering dust.

We re-opened a few weeks ago and an idea of how to reclaim the steel came to me. The result was this

It's probably big enough to stand as it is as a feature in the garden (or the house maybe? it's fairly "carpet friendly") or to be lined, filled with earth and a few plants put into it.
Still enough steel left to make a couple of occasional tables and maybe a coffee table. Watch this space.
