Urgent grinder picking advice

Both my grinders have ceased to function, one yesterday and one this morning.

I am going to have my lunch and then off out to get one of these two.

?Any comments? All my brushes etc are M14 hence the choices.

Most grinder threads seem to be erring towards Blue Bosch GWS, but I need one or even two, immediately.

i use a de-walt 9" and a de-walt cut off saw, cant fault them, the 9" is 7yo and still going strong on its second set of brushes.

I have got three of the Dewalt grinders.
The oldest I have had for about 7 years, quite happy with them.
They get knocked about and worked quite hard.
I like the leads, long and very flexible.
Nice colour as well, it matches my teeth.

Just got back with two 4050 DeWalt.

Contact DeWalt they will send you two for free,and take them back to screwfix and they will give you two.

they do ship with spanners included,might end up with four spanners.

Are the new Dewalt ones as good as the old ones?
Quality of new tools seems to be a bit variable, and most of the old tools, if still functioning, are the good ones but not necessarily an indicator of the latest offerings from the same brand.

I think the problem in some cases is the fact that some people tend to put too much load on their grinder to get things done that little bit quicker instead of letting it do the work as it was designed to do

I know, I did, but thought it may have been a batch, but clearly not.

I bought two twisted wire brushes a while ago, one flat, one cup.

My God ?How dangerous are the cups? I used it for the first time earlier and even with the handle, I was feeling none too safe. From three inches in diameter to 'cut-your-leg-off-in-no-time' in seconds.

I think I shall rest now. Got some done on the LT, no going back now.

Those cup brushes (or flat brushes) when they catch on an edge can cause the angle grinder to jump out of your hand and on to your arm. Nasty.
Don't ask!!

I had a cup brush bounce into my left inner thigh tearing it's way through my joggers and making it all the way round to my right knee before it stopped in a tangled mess. Skinned my left inner thigh quite nastily but I think my chuds saw it coming and retracted as it missed them!
