Our Motor home is about 25 years old and looks dated in side, I am toying with the idea of re upholstering it my self. Any tips as I haven't a clue, sources of fabric, what machine do I need etc?
Make sure any material you use is UV stable, our campervan had domestic material used & & it faded badly. We had it redone making sure the material was stable & had no further problems. I think it is quite a normal problem looking at campers for sale, advertised reupholstered & 2 or 3 years old.
it was a while ago but used somebody in the Wirral to redo the upholst on a fancy boat.....
can't remember the name......cheap enough not to bother ur self.....
Leave one seat. You’ll need it when you see how expensive cloth is. My mum can use a machine, she made all the soft furnishings for this race truck. It cost me 600quid for the cloth, the foam was moon beams
(Sorry for the poor picture I’ve few side on, none internal.
You will need an industrial sewing machine, mum has one. amongst other things she did the odd upholstery job for folk
It’s way more difficult than folk make it look
Stapling some material to a chair frame Is one thing, stitching a cover inside out and back to font and to exact size is thesame difference between me holding a tig torch and master Stacking dimes
