Up & over garage lock design

Hi. Getting a bit paranoid about my double garage.

Live in the sticks and get a few people nosing around looking for "scrap" - yeh right.

Door is currently electric with wireless pir to house but fancy something a bit more belt and braces yet can be opened quickly.

I appreciate nothing will stop a cordless grinder but a few minutes more or something to put off the casual theif is all i can expect.

Any examples?

Also stuck some angle iron on the legs to block access to the bolts.

I've one of these in each corner of the door, bolt heads painted to match the door so they don't stand out as much

Looks good. With a plate over the top with studs welded would be even better.

Yeah I've got those slide pin locks bolted to a 2" 10mm thick steel bar. Not saying its going to stop people, But should slow them down

That's what I did.mangle iron fixed to the frame closing the gap between door and frame off.

Didn't bother with anything other than the coach bolts. There not going anywhere.
A plate between the door and lock to brace the sheet steel would be worth considering.

An alarm will make them think twice but if they want it they will take it

How far is the garage off the main road? Do you have a front gate, if not can you fit one even a side ways slide gate

CCTV signs even if you have no camera just to diswade them

Garage is at 90° to house.

House is at rear of garden and garage at the front next to the road.

Cant see garage from most of house hence my worry.

I have 2 of the ground mounted Tee locks at the bottom of the door. Inside the garage I have a scaffold pole across the top of the door locating into two angle iron brackets each side of the door, plus two 10mm bolts that pass through steel plates fitted to the inner fold of the door into holes drilled into the side of the door frame at the bottom. In addition I've removed the outer door handle so there's no purchase for anyone to lift the door from the outside. Am I paranoid probably, but I've been robbed once and don't want it to happen again.

I bricked up the door way, behind the door, and put a side door in. inside the dog pen.
the car wouldn't fit anyway - not if I wanted to open the door to get in/out.
