Hello to everyone.
First thing is to thank everyone here for some fantastic information.
I have been lurking for a while and it feels good to have unlurked myself.
Without this forum I would have gone and bought the wrong mig welder for sure.
I have done a bit of diy mig welding a while ago using an old Clarke 90en on Co2 and found it ok.
I am now after a bigger mig and I am undecided between a Clarke 160te and a Portamig 181. Reading through the threads the decision between the two welders seems to crop up a quite a bit.
The cost is obviously a factor, but if there is a vast amount of quality difference between the two ,then I will save up a bit more and go for the Portamig.
Any advise on either welder would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Andy.
