Looking at fitting a towbar to the wife's meriva B. I've fitted a few in the past but they all had normal wiring so simply spliced into the rear lights. I believe this one has can-bus so would need a relay.
Universal kits are about £25 and vehicle specific about £125. Looking at fitting instructions for the specific kit I need to rip half the trim out to feed wires to tow bar but universal kit needs a wire to battery so might be just as much work?!
I'd like to save money, (and that's why I'm going back to trailering some stuff to tip rather than using skips) but £100 isn't a game changer for an easier/better install! Just wondering if anyone has any advice/thoughts/experience either way?
