I previously posted in the beginners section concerning earthing,now Ithink this question has to be here.My question is to do with the DutyCycle.The welder states 90A/22.4@10% Duty Cycle.Does this mean I can weld for 1min. out of every 10min. Some clarification would be much appreciated. Thankyou for your help Martin

Yes, that's if it was tested in accordance with the European norm relating to Duty cycles.
10% would be 1 minute welding and up to 9 minutes to cool down again.
It should be measured at 40 degrees ambient temperature, so in our country when it rarely makes it above 25 degrees then that percentage should increase some.
However cheaper units sold by some unscrupulous manufactures tell fibs about the duty cycles. They test at 25 degrees instead of 40 and sometimes only run for 6 minutes instead of 10.
