undersize/true to size Galvanised bolt sources?

Second query of the day.

I need some 8.8 or 10.9 bolts that won't rust. Unfortunately A4-80 stainless won't do.

Some of them are going into existing mild-steel captive nuts - so while galvanised bolts would be other wise ideal, in this case they won't work as, in the UK, they're standard sized bolts that are then coated with zinc. Its the nuts that are tapped oversize to allow for the zinc on the bolt threads.

However, I understand that in Europe, the reverse is true - the bolts are cut undersized to allow for the zinc thickness.

Does anyone know where I could buy a small quantity of true-to-size/Euro-spec galvanised bolts? (M10, M12 and M16)

Shouldnt be as bolts would never fit, I use plenty of 10.9 and 12.9 bzp bolts, usually off ebay sellers and never needed to retap. "YFS" is the brand stamp I seem to get most of, if I am remembering right.

BZP isn't the same as galvanised - which if you compare one of each left out in the elements for a while is clear which is which.

Coating isn't thick enough to cause much hassle

What about ceramic coating?
Should be thin enough to not bother the threads.
It will be more corrosion resistant than Bzp but probably nowhere near as good as proper galv.

As Bricol says - true galvanised fixings are very different from BZP.

Bricol - the tap is a really good shout if I have to do this again, just costs that will kick me for a small job as it'd need three different specialised taps.
