Under sink chlorine filter and whole house filters.

I've been thinking about getting an under sink filter for the kitchen sink, then thought about a whole house filter.

Has anyone got experience of them and info on the consumable cost?

Also how badly do the effect the flow rate?

We done need to worry about lime scale here, we have never had any, it's just the chlorine that bothers us.

been using them for years....
Under the kitchen sink, just on the cold I used a 3 part cartrage filter.....def take the taste and smell away.....
I put 2 ball valves either side for easy change over...the water fittings are like air line connectors so no spanners.....
plus I have it on longish plastic pipes for ease of use, then just kinda roll it up and put it back in the cupboard....easy....
as there is only two of us now we change the filter every 2-3 months.....it starts to slow down when it's ready for changing........
dosent apply to u but no more scale in kettles......when the tourists are in every month for the change over...
orig bought ours from screwfix but everybody does em now......think the last time I bought em they were about £12's in the UK....

whole house filter
we just use the cotton reel type filter.....it take the mud out from mains repairs out and any lumps.....suprising how dirty it gets.....
they can be bought as a double cartrage but we only have a one banger......
again every 2-3 months when we are in the house but monthly when the tourist are here.....
ours is a see thru plastic canister, so handy for a look in......
BUT they are not UV proof.....for outside use in the sun they do a solid colour bodied filter.....
the cotton reel filters are about €3 euro's here.....

best money u ever spent......I even have one for the caravan......
