Josh Topper announced that video on Thursday. Apparently this bloke was a very capable toolmaker/machinist but after receiving chemotherapy he started hoarding stuff. Maybe something happened in his brain due to the chemotherapy.

I'd guess most likely he got frustrated by not being able to get out in the workshop to do things so just started acquiring equipment instead to keep himself occupied and possibly as a way of motivating himself to try and get out the other side.
I've gone on eBay shopping sprees when I've been cooped up, and I love getting sets and all the attachments for things, so its not too much of a stretch to see how it could happen.

Not on that scale of course, but if I’d had the funds I’d have given it a bloody good go.
The widow is going to be in for a surprise when she gets the cheque...
