Just joined as had major probs tonight (read all about them in the MIG forum)
Currently have a sick puppy Migmate 130 which I'm using to restore my 77 VW camper van.
Mostly its chassis work, suits me fine as no-one will ever have to see my ugly welds, but there is a fair amount of bodywork too. I'm working on the basis that by the time I get to the visible stuff the welds I'm producing ought to be both strong and neat.
Had a bit of a let down tonight with an attempt to repair my welder and ended up making it, well not worse, but certainly worse for wear and more frustrating, but I'll haev to stick with it as I'm broke.
Also discovering that the regulator on the Migmate works backwards. turn it to (-) to get gas flow.... explains some of my earlier work!
