tyres

i was going to put the tyres off the alfa on the megane, already swapped on as it needed doing for MOT but i can remember the alfa being very slippery on wet roads, i thought it may be my driving that did it as i like a bit of lift off over steer, but the tyre i have put on the megane (front passenger) will spin with ease when pulling off in the wet but the drivers side is as normal so maybe they are just crap tyres in the rain?

No idea, will check in the morning. They were about 50 quid each so nothing special

Doesn't usually make a lot of difference to grip, more a construction thing.
Mind, not knowing what brand they are drops a big hint as to the problem

they were o there when i bought it and all 4 were only a month old if that. it went round corners like it was on rails in the dry, but like a dodgy shopping trolley in the wet

just looked. they sound cheap...Windforce Catchgre GP100's...never heard of them but that is the only thing written on them apart from the size (205/55/16)

I suspect some'll label them as 'ditch-finders'......
