Two diesel heaters: one runs at 100 C the other at 160 C

I understand very much, these heaters are basically much smaller versions of an indirect space heater, I have one of those, kicks out 68,000 btu, it’s an enclosed unit and works in the same way. Indirect space heaters have been sold in the UK for decades and are perfectly safe as long as the glasses are exhausted outside.
My point is that as long as the exhaust pipe is clamped securely to the exhaust you‘re not going to be poisoned by carbon monoxide. I think you have a basic lack of understanding of the risks here, those Chinese instructions are clearly telling you how to mount it to a vehicle whereby the exhaust obviously goes out through the floor, the exhaust on one of these chinese heaters would not go through a cavity wall, they’re not long enough anyway.

The exhuast pipe with the heater is too short to go out through a cavity wall yes.

But there are longer versions available individually on ebay and amazon etc. Which is what I purchased to do exactly that- one pipe which carries out from heater and through 300mm masonry wall with no joints.

In actual terms are both units same kilowatts even though they state 8kw?

It's a very dubious thing.
The fact the three EU based manufacturers would refuse to sell you anything like that, and have some very strong guidance around combustion inlet/exhaust pipes within habitable areas, should tell you all you need to know.

I'd highly suspect that if they ever came to the attention of trading standards, the sale of them would quite quickly be curtailed.
I was actually surprised the big recall and import confiscations was only for the kits, as IMO the all in ones are a bigger risk, as there is no way to install them without having combustion pipes with the habitable area, unless you mount the entire unit externally and pipe in the hot air, but then you'd struggle to ensure combustion gases can't get drawn back in via the heated air inlet.

A lot of these types of goods are from off shore sellers, via UK/EU distribution warehouses, which means there's little trading standards can do. Customs and Border Force cannot keep up with even more important matters because of that thing we did in 2016, they certainly can't stop the flow of dangerous goods.

I've wondered how this will eventually be dealt with. Some of the goods are lethal.

More likely to come a cropper following badly written chinglish instructions. Wasnt it poorly written instructions that got batches of these imports impounded???

I think the biggest issue with the cdh is the exhaust pipe is crap, the green see through fuel pipe is crap, and er the rest is okayish especially for the money compared to eber and webby.
None of the diesel heater exhausts last forever, I have changed several of them at less than three years old under vans, and this was the genuine eber/webby double skinned exhaust pipes, the cdh are single skin.

I don't get people heating their houses with these China heaters. They put out less than 4kw into the space. Even for my garage I'd really need 2x heaters to put any meaningful heat into the space. That's just one room....

Considering this it must only heat a kitchen or similar in a house. Or augment other heating systems but certainly not a replacement for central heating.

Cost of living crisis. Some people have access to cheap and dodgy fuels.

You may not, but I happen to know my particular circumstances regarding fuel in stock and likely availability if/when I need to replenish my stock. 4kW, into a well insulated room, is more than sufficient to warm it.

It is not about the amount of heat. It is about the cost.

Funny how you expect people to understand your circumstances but rip into others for compromising their installs without understanding their circumstances.

I think there will be a lot of compliance issues installing these heaters in houses/garages. Lots of regulations now on heating installations.
