Two bolts acceptable for a rank amateur?

A few months ago I pheasant chose to pop off this mortal coil by running out in front of the car, damaged the lower grille and a proximity sensor; parts were £100 or so and now I'm on Easter break and the weather is amenable I've been able to get round to replacing them. This meant removing the front bumper... now I am not a mechanic by any means and was not looking forward to this by any means!

Is two fasteners left over acceptable?!

I had the misfortune to own a Renault modus. Changing a headlight bulb was according to Renault a three hour job. The front of the car looked much like it had run into a flock of frozen chickens by halfway through. Whole front end of the car off, in several chunks. Stuff the screws and bolts, I had it down to half an hour and held together with cable ties!

There will be plenty of other bolts and fixings holding it on. They always put too many fasteners in cars when they build them, put those in the 'spare parts tin'

the plastic self forming screws are never as strong the second time you use them.

The black one went underneath and the silver one went where you can see it, at least that was true till you jumbled them all up.
If they are missing from the front of the undertray you get to play 'what's that flapping sound' at 30 plus or what the f### was that at 70 while other motorway-ists have a good laugh going the other way.
Easy fix - just turn the stereo up.

Scottish high school teacher; yes, we are fortunate with our holidays - I recently found out that one month of our summer holidays is actually unpaid.

'Bluddy teachers and all that holiday, they don't know what its like in The Real World..', 'Those that can - do, those that can't - teach...' aye, heard it all before!

1ltr Mild hybrid 155PS (Ford Focus Active) Ecoboostm engine... I've just taken out an extended warranty! Just about to go online shopping for some of the plastic fasteners.

You'll know this but make sure it gets serviced using only the recommended oil, and interim oil changes would be sensible to try to prevent degrading wet belt particles from blocking your oil pick up pipe and grenading the engine.

Proper oil at the right times - your only hope.

And the ones which have had the right oil - do last from what I have seen in my workshop.

If you do it yourself - take the time to check the oil specs - or just buy the oil from the dealers if you can't understand them...

Assuming the dealers actually sell/use the correct oil and don't have a 205 L drum of 5w30 that they throw into everything....
