i just used silicone around the pipe even at full heat it didnt bother it even after taking it apart a year after however i did use a circle around the flue pipe so it didnt get too hot near the silicone
if yours is a standared wood heater your temps might be higher but i know my chimney heat was around 200F to 300f
Better than felt, worse than steel.
Our neighbour had Onduline on his stable roof for 12 years or so. It starts to sag and soften with time. He replaced it with steel.
So far i have found it fine, mine is laid on an osb board, so shouldnt sag. Had one sheet lift in a gales a couple of years ago, onduline nails are quite flimsy. Last two loose boxes i have built i have used the bigger ring nails from wicks, for their roofing, no issues.
Being out in the sticks, next roofing i do will be box profile steel. Biggest winge with onduline and corroline, is the sheets are 2m long so end up with an overlap on the roof, somewhere for the wind to lift. Steel i can get in one length no joints.
Did my barn roof with corrugated cement board, that has worked well too.
All options are better than felt. Only sheet material id consider now is that rubber one piece stuff for flat roofs, no joints.
