Did anyone catch the BBC2 programme which was just on, "Australia: Earth's magical kingdom"?
Not only very informative, but simply STUNNING photography - well worth viewing imho.
For example, apparently there's a Tarantula spider there which science has only found so recently that they haven't accorded it a formal Latin name yet and are referring to it simply as "The diving Tarantula". It lives in a burrow which floods when the monsoon rains arrive, but can trap oxygen in its body hair sufficient to survive underwater, breathing through glands on its abdomen. And we think we're clever....
It'll be on iPlayer in a couple of days. Not to be missed.
