According to the place I use they all come from China now. I buy them on ebay (from the Chinese chap that everybody knows

While the vast majority probably are they're not all made in China... http://www.diamondground.com/frequently-asked-questions.html and Chinese isn't necessarily cheapnese. Personally i don't buy on price anymore, only one bad experience where a pack of (supposidly) 2% lanthanated behaved like thoriated when welding ally- constantly splitting and generally behaving weirdly

So, who do you buy from hr....? I am finding 1mm 2% lanthanated difficult to source.

I don't use tungstens smaller than 1.6mm and use huntingdon fusion multi strike these days which are a mix of lanthana, yttria and ceria IIRC. I can't weld any better/neater/faster as a result, they were just the only alternative from my usual suplliers and i've stuck with 'em as i reckon they last a little longer (tip life, restriking, arc stability etc) between touch ups compared to the usual suspects
I'm 99% sure that the multi strikes are Chinese (Diamond ground link + i'd of thought they'd shout about it if they were European made).
