I don't understand
I thought that would be the case. My question was whether you were wanting to grind TUNGSTEN (perhaps for electrodes used in TIG welding). Or if you really meant TUNGSTEN CARBIDE (the multitude of cutting tools).
It now seems apparent that you mean WC, not W. It helps if the correct wording is used in threads.
An analogy might be “ I want to sell some gold - how much is it worth?”. The obvious problem for such a request would be ‘How many Carats?’ There are lots of such avoidable situations. Many just don’t know the difference.
Green grit.
Given that the thread is in the Tig Welding section of the forum, it's a fair assumption that the OP meant electrodes?
I do that too, got an old Bosch 10v driver I put a cheap eBay hex shank Chuck into. Works a treat and doesn't spin crazy fast as its a screwdriver.I shove the tungsten's in my battery drill , sharpen them both ends
On the bench grinder I use the green wheel or an angle grinder face grinding disc I tend to use the aluminium oxide " Parkside belt sander " a lot to sharpen them too , again with the tungsten in a running battery drill as my pinkies suffer desensitization from frost bite and diabetes .
