tube welding

Hi all

I'm new here. And came here looking for an answer on the web.

i want to weld thin wall steel tube for a frame. I have an mig welding post and was wondering if it would work with that. I'm not a pro but have welded quit a few car panels. With some goid results. ( not perfect but not that bad neither)

Anny advise on this?

Welcome to the forum.

Do a few test/practice welds on some offcuts of tube, then try to break them with a hammer/vice or cut through them with a saw to check the penetration.

Post pictures on here for advise.

owkey. good advise. happy to hear its posible. some told me i would need a tig to weld steel tube.

mig will do it, tig would give more control but it is do able with mig too
