TTY/stretch bolts help

Your AWA 2.0 FSi 150HP engine spec took some finding 2001 - 2008 Audi A4 8Ex.

But it does state use new bolts.

Camshaft carrier/cap	8 Nm+90°
​ Use new bolts/nuts.

I have literally never replaced cam cap/carrier bolts in 15 years as a mech and never had a single issue. They don't see enough torque to really require replacing. 7NM + 90° won't stretch them like what happens to headbolts.

I personally wouldn't (and don't) worry about it. I've done 2 heads in the last few weeks and not replaced those bolts.

Same here. Even though the TTY setting wasn't thought of in Suzuki workshop manuals of the day, I've re-used the camcap cover bolts on several engines and never had cause to regret it.
