Hello everyone.
I have an old twin axle car trailer that i'm trying to find out a bit more about.
Its an old beavertail job and seems pretty sturdy but i'd like to know how much it can carry if possible.
I have a plate off it that was pretty much un-readable and has fallen off but on closer inspection today and with a bit of light sanding i have uncovered the following off it-
KIN**TON BROS. (ENGINEERING)
AYLESBURY ROAD
THAME OXON
Chassis No. 0222
Date. (nothing in this box)
PHONE THAME 2349
I am guessing its Kingston Bros. at the top.
Its apparent its a very old trailer and an internet search hasn't turned up anything. I just thought if there is anyone from the area that might remember an engineering company being there that has moved.
Alternatively is there a way of checking the capacity of the trailer without testing it to destruction? just would rather be safe than sorry.
I can take some pictures of it if it helps.
