Set up a extractor

Thinking on this extractor my blasting cabinet extractor has cloth bags in it on a shaker mechanism, I didnt notice yesterday but are cast milling bits hot, as I think somewhere in one of the shed is one of these its a builders hoover ( same as picture nicked off the net)


do you think it would be strong enough to suck up the cast filings.

Best vacuum cleaners going IMHO. Can't kill mine. Near 15 years old never used a bag in it and sucks up screws concrete and wood chips day in day out.

Yes but the hot chips might melt the hose if you get it clogged up. I had that happen.
That's a very good hoover BTW, expensive. They have a built-in vibrator to shake the filter periodically to maintain suction.

I could do with one with a 4ft table. It Would make my life much easier, many jobs that I do with the portable line borer could be done on the horizontal

It been a while so here is an update I talked the owner into buying some new discs in the end as the thickness was a bit thin on the minimum thickness by the time I had skimmed all the marks out of the old dics minimum thicknes turned out to be 23mm i was just under the 22mm all fitted and the customer happy and he still paid for the skimming which was good, i did end up going overboard tidying up the front end chassis rails twas a good swings and round about job.

Iveco- It Vibrates, Everything Comes Off...

Drove an Iveco Trakker for 18 months. Fitted with a 60 ton/metre hiab, it was, at the time, the biggest crane in the Hull area after a certain local operator of Hiab lorries was clapped in irons . Great motor, but by God the clutch was heavy . In stop start traffic, it hurt my left leg to keep the clutch pedal down .

Ha Ha sounds like fun this one is only a 6 tonner Motorhome
