Trolley Jack and Axle stands

Hi, I want to fit a sump guard to my mini but don't have any equipment to do it. I want to buy a trolley jack and axle stands but I have a really limited budget because it's my pocket money. Be very carefull where abouts you jack a mini up and also where you place the axle stands because they can easily go through the floor and sills if its not in the best of condition

Check Friday-free-ads and gumtree, places like that. Are there any auction houses local to you?

Trolley jacks are very handy to have but as a basic way of getting your car off the ground you could cut up some old scaffold boards and make somehting like this

Wow! Thats a good idea! I think it would have to be quite long though for the sort of clearance I need

ollie just remember to chock it as well as apply the handbrake better to be safe than sorry
