Triton shower replacement

The shower in the landlady's small guest room has probably died
It's the room I'm normally in when working in London. The shower is a Triton Amber III.

It's always been a carp shower, either freezing or boiling with sod all in between. There could be a rational reason for that i.e. it's full of lime scale, I'll check that first.

But it's now just freezing cold. The landlady mentioned it needs to be low pressure. Any low cost electric shower replacement recommendations? Ideally an easy swap as I'll be using random tools.

They are pretty cheap nd negates the dicking about as above.
I got another few years out of ours by clearing the inflow plastic mesh filters which were pretty fouled with limescale

I had that problem with our Mira, the temp was always scalding, no matter how far down the temp knob was turned. Eventually I unscrewed the whole hose and found the first of two in line filters was clogged with lime scale. After that was cleaned it was brilliant.

Our old shower was right hand entry and I replaced it earlier this year with a Mira multi fit which was easy enough to adapt to the existing wiring and pipe.

as above try buy the same unit with the same power ratting as it lighly the cable is only just good enought

Get a Triton easy fix, water and electrics can come in from either side. We’ve two and both work well

Wikes used to sell a rebranded Redring the same as a Triton, we have a 10.5kw that replaced a Triton

might be worth a call to triton as we had a gainbrough they supplyed a inner unit that replaced every thing apart from the plastics etc

if they start giving bother and its not low pressure or the heads furred up just replace. there not worth bothering with

Another vote for the multi fit. Replaced an ancient mira sport with one last year. Multiple wiring and water input locations.

I can't remember the bore size but behind one of the filters was a pellet of scale almost the size of the bore!, let alone the filter being well blocked. Pretty hard water round here.

It lasted a fair while after a clear out, but replaced with the same about 2 yr after it had the punishment and it let go completely, if I was renting, given its got to come off, replace with the ame is the way to go I reckon.

Our shower (Triton I think) died, I decided to pay extra to get a "same make and model" replacement to make my life easier. Shame they had changed the design so I still had to modify the plumbing and electrics

Thats why we bought a Wickes branded Triton unit. it was the same format as the old one
