I am looking to trim approx. 5mm off a long stainless steel sheet. I wanted to get a straight line if possible. I was thinking of using an abrasive disc in a circular saw with a guide. I was also considering using a stainless carbide blade but reading online they seem to go blunt very fast, the 3rd option I thought about was a 115mm grinder with a guide similar to a circular saw guide.
1. Is it possible to use an abrasive disc in a circular saw?
2. Any one any ideas of the carbide blade - could it work for approx. 9m cutting at 2.5mm thk. grade 304?
3. I assume the grinder will work but will have to get grinder with a guide and it seems like a lot of cutting for it.
Does anyone know of any other/better options?
Thanks
