Argon + 2.5% CO2 is good for stainless and you can use it for relatively thin mild steel, up to 3mm, the danger with thicker mild steel is due to the low CO2 content you can suffer from lack of fusion. It depends what the majority of your welding is and what you want the end result to be be.
If your mainly going to be welding mild steel with just the odd bit of stainless that you want to stick together and your not overly bothered about the condition of the stainless welds I would go with a three component mix like Argoshield Light, at the end of the day you will have to accept it is going to be a bit of a compromise though
