I am being lazy in consulting the collective rather than dig the multimeter out but we have a few on here who deal with these daily.

I have trackers to fit in a few of these. Need a permanent live and a switched live.

Are there spare / bodybuilder fuses that fit my needs does anyone know?

If there isn’t I just find one or put my own in, but being a new van I wonder if they’re supplied with them? New DAFs are, for example. Makes fitting extras easy.

Surely with trackers you want connections that are not standard, none of the ones we have fitted on machines or had fitted used makers connection points

In this case they are more for fleet management rather than theft.

Some I’ve put in lorries I’ve done like you say and they’re hard to find let alone remove, but a lot of the ones I do are just so people know where stuff is, and who’s ragging it so they can administer the bollocking in the right direction

I suspect the world has moved on a lot since I was dabbling with vehicle electrics and it is all controlled with a fancy canbus BCU, but clock/radio was always a good source for a permanent live and switched live, and cigarette lighter was usually switched.

You might actually struggle for an ignition feed, as lots of stuff on them is BCM controlled and not directly linked to the ignition, and most of the internal fuses are three legged so it's not easy to just throw in a piggyback fuse holder.

Check the BEMM manual I sent you, as I think you might get an ignition feed under the seat.
Failing that I think there might still be an ignition feed to the EOBD socket, although you won't be able to connect into the rear of that on the 2.0l ones, as the EOBD socket is built in to the gateway module.

I not got any full wiring diagrams for Transit Customs after 2018

There is a few sporadic diagrams on AutoData for the later 2019 -2021 models - but nothing for body control.

Battery under the seat - but you will not find a switched live somewhere in the fuse box under the seat - they are all high amp wire protection services fuses in this box.

I had the same problem when I have fitted taxi meters into transit customs - you just have to dig about in the facia fuse box with a multimeter. Stripping ignition not viable.

That bodybuilder manual is really good by the way.

I’ll have a delve about with a meter and see what I can find. I usually default to the back of the radio for both but it’s a bit of a hassle in them from what I can see.

I will try the dash fuse box first and see where I get….

Check if the van happens to have had the additional fuse box fitted, at the NS of the glove box. If it's got that, then there are ignition feeds there, via common sized fuses.
The main internal fusebox is a nightmare to get into.

On my 19-Plate AA van they just used piggyback fuses in the fusebox under the column. There were both permanent and ignition live fuses in there. (Mini fuse size) We had piggybacks in there to power the phone cradle, tablet cradle and telematics.

Not sure if the newer ones are any different.
