Hi guys,
I have an opportunity to switch jobs to work for someone building electric cars. But while discussing the job with them it may also lead to opportunities for me to do some fabrication and welding in architectural and structural steelwork as they are also involved in property and construction.
But while i can do the electric car part of the job fine, and i can weld somewhat, i'm by no means trained or professional in welding.
So i need to get trained, qualified and coded in order to capitalize on this opportunity. But as a total novice i have no idea exactly what is required.
Can anyone recommend good training centres for a fast-track welding course? I am in Watford in Hertfordshire (M1 J6) but can travel.
Also can anyone advise on what qualifications and codings are required for structural steelwork? This is an area where i have practically no knowledge of requirements.
It would likely be making items like steel staircases, walkways and such.
Thank you in advance,
Moose.
