Trailer Organizer ? Project

We have a trailer we use to haul our equipment into desaster areas and remove trees and debris from peoples yards and help them get back on thier feet. This is an all volunteer team made up of people who have been there and just want to help. There is no charge to the home owner at all!

Well our chaps and hats were in a milk box on the floor and I could not stand that, so I built a chap/hat rack.

We carry picks and ropes and rakes all just in the floor this had to stop!

The biggest pain in the rear was the ladder so it went on the wall too.

I think I made a dent in the project
you must consider when we go in
after a hurricane or ice storm thier
is usually not any electricity or
water so we carry gecerators and
lots of water. we need floor space
and usually some of us bring our own
saws and equipment.

I would consider some tie down points for gear left on the floor, maybe some for the ladders, red fuel cans on the left and chain saws as well. When you use it in anger you will soon tell if it works or not. Where you keep the kettle and biscuits?

Left hand side bench, I would add a similar type of box that red fuel can sits in to secure chainsaw motors. Remainder looks very good, perhaps some kind of pulley device can be made to use more of the free inner roof space, wheel baroow for example?

Commendable work you guys do, I have thankfully never experienced a hurricane, but have witnessed the aftermath, I bet you are a sight for sore eyes when mother nature decides to make a call with vengence!!

Most of the time you do not need a heater cause someone has to pull the limbs to the road
We are usually put up in a Church Gym (Bring Your Own Cot) so summer we just sweat it out. But in the winter us country boys know how to put a little oak wood to good use.
I'm with you on the roof room left unused??? If you have any ideas let me know............

On my van i have a hatch cut out of the bulkhead and a bungee cord at the door to hold my steps you could use two brasses one of witch is removable to hold the barrow up there. If you did that with the opening up you could also store waterproofs etc in the barrow.

Been thinking about hanging some stuf from the roof only thing is it would have to be down the side at the top most of us are 6' tall. We bend enough during the day. In the wenter time like last year Tulsa, Ok. not really bad cold after the ice storm but very wendy so we took a lot of breaks in the trailor.

im stugling to find some good biscuits over here a brew just aint the same with out something to dunk owel fount some proper tea bages ther just expensive so the sute case had a few boxes in on the trip back to england o and a few bottels of HP got get the important things in

have you thorght about makeing a ladder rack for the roof to free up some more room inside
