Tractor seat repair?

I managed to rip the cover of a fairly new tractor seat earlier. Any thoughts on a lasting repair? It's got an electrical tape patch currently. The seats not hideously expensive but is nearly new and the rest is pristine.

Glue the flap back with contact adhesive, then get a vinyl repair kit from the likes of Furniture Clinic.

I've been dead impressed with Gorilla duct tape - two years outside covering/holding padding on the seat area of my trials car - still intact, still holding strong.

If you use a heat gun to warm it after application it softens the glue and then use a soft cloth to press it down it will never come off!
