I'm still amused by the racks of truck tops/canopies I see around the USA where someone has a business flogging second-hand ones. Not something you tend to see over here.

Even more amused the other day in Olympia - someone had a new pickup with a canopy from what looked like last century - it must have fitted width-wise, but it was considerably shorter than the bed

The custom fitted fiberglass tops are very pricey, so there is a secondary market for them.
The fabricated ones are much more universal, I put a clean 92 dodge Dakota cap on my Toyota Taco, hangs off the back about an inch. It was only $150.

I recently saw an advert for local tractor drivers wanted urgently, temp contract, immediate start, 1K per week....

I bet they want some long shifts for that mind!

16hr days 7 days a week are commonplace at certain times a year.

it's not a van, it's an f-150 with a matching fiberglass cap.
The truck has a bed, with a front wall, then 2" of gap, and then the back of the passenger cab (a crew cab in this case)
A van has nothing between the driver and the load.

It still amazes that the driver of the car wasn't badly hurt. I've been hit head on by a Skoda Fabia and smashed my leg in two places and snapped my elbow and I was in a Volvo.

whatever he did to crash, it was just plain terrible driving, not breaking the law to do it

are you also implying that term to a drunk driver as well?

whilst drink is legal, drugs are not except for prescribed drugs

whatever the case he was driving a heavy vehicle on the road that he shouldnt been driving while under the influence of it

in all cases wether its a mobile phone or drink or drugs they should all carry the same sentence

as so far its implying take drugs for a lesser sentence

I didn't think about the drugs, didn't read much about it and assumed he was only just over the limit - which I think is how a lot of people are caught


I'm not into drugs at all and pretty anti-drug, but watching police interceptors a lot recently (my dads not well and he likes it on) there's a lot of people who are only just over the limit for drugs from the night before etc.
