On the track rod ends bit if you get a non nyloc nut and run it down first to lock the taper then take it off and fit the nyloc it works as well.

I think I understand what you mean here. Can you clarify it a little to help a cloth head (me)![]()
A plain nut won't have the "drag" of a nyloc so the shaft won't spin as you run it down, use it to pull the taper up until it locks/jams then replace it with the nyloc, does that make sense?
