torque wrenches?

I'm after a torque wrench that start below 10lbs.
considering this one but its only 1/4" drive.
are these any good?
I dont want to spend to much for occasional use but dont want cheap rubbish either.
any recommendation up to £100 or less.
them box ones aren't suitable to tight cylinder heads down in a m/bike frame no room!

Whilst I am no expert MHH engineering are one of the top companies supplying these, the old Britool ones are good and reliable, its all down to the quality of the spring and components.
Now digital ones I assume would now be more accurate and repeatable, most people never calibrate them

I have a 1/4 teng one. 5 to 25 nm

Norbar are almost industry standard, but any quality brand will be fine.

Whilst most people assume a digital display implies greater accuracy, it’s still a mechanical system you are measuring. The accuracy of the digital readout will depend on how good the sensor is at translating the mechanical input to an equivalent digital output that can then be shown on the digital display. Digital doesn’t always mean better.
I have three of the old Britool torque wrench’s in covering 0-25,0-100,0-300 lb ft, brilliant pieces of kit

I think this is a bit misleading, if you'd bought a decent brand like a Norbar or Snap On then the digital units are very good. There is no way you would throw one in the bin as they cost £300-500

But in relation to buying a £50 digital one I take your point

Britool when it was in Cannock in the early 90's employed two old dears who serviced them, they would strip your torque wrench re chrome it, and rebuild it with a cal cert, oh the good old days
The did try to automate the building but Madge and Mable could be beaten!

I have a norbar 3/8 inch. Easy to use with 1/2 adaptors if you want bigger nuts

Like more wellie says but ud be surprised how strong 1/4 drive is......
I use a 1/4 air ratchet because it's light and small....Never busted one yet......
Perhaps check out Halford's, at least u can speak to somebody...not an online mystery.....

The scale isn't very clear on them and as you go up the scale the adjustment gets quite progressively harder.

got a ordinary none digital but I dont understand all the no's coz they are not in NM or pounds..

I have a little Teng unit which is decent for the price, and well within your budget. I’m pretty sure it has both measurement scales too which is a great bonus.

I think that as usual there’s decent and rubbish.

I trust my snap on units to be reliable, they know if they go out of calibration and will stop working.
Most torque wrenches are meant to be within 10% accuracy, the good digital ones lock out when the accuracy is out within a few percent. Much better (but pricy).

Sykes pickivant do a really nice push through non ratchet 3/8 drive which does 4-20nm.

Great for rocker covers and such like,
Beta do some really nice torque wrenches also
