Torque settings Transit Connect

Gonna attempt the cambelt on my transit.

Has anyone got the proper specs on the torque of the tensioner, water pump bolts and the crank nut?

I've seen kits of alignment pins for the crank, fuel pump and the camshaft pulley - look to be 8mm and 6mm bits of rod.

normally if you take them apart it will give you an idea of how tight things should be ... a lot of timing kits are little more than drill bits and flat plates ,,, again if you experiment before taking it apart set to tdc / timing marks , check pins go in etc it will let you know , then if your not sure , you could order the kit after that ,,,, Ive not done a transit but lots of other things and they all follow common sense ,,,, watch a few videos on you tube it will give you a good heads up . I do remember one of the fords had no marks though so no harm in a bit of research first.

the video I just watched has a plate type crank alignment tool but its ot legs on the back too ,, if its the wet belt one

Found the kit for £92 for an INA which I believe are fairly well regarded?

I'll get a price for belt & water pump from Ford too however. Just to compare.

Funnily enough I've got the same job to do, but leaving it till the xmas break as I'm off for a week but normally bored by the 27th...
Mine's a 2014 Mk2, you don't say what yours is? I have the 115PS T1GA engine variant.
Anyway... I got an INA belt kit from PartsInMotion on Ebay, was normally £80-odd but got 20% off for Black Friday so £66 and coppers.
Torque settings (as I say, for the Mk2) are 30Nm tensioner, 37Nm idler, 10Nm in two stages for the water pump and 35Nm plus 190 degrees for the crank bolt.
Engine mount bracket is 55Nm into the block and 48Nm to the chassis.
6mm Allen key to turn the belt tensioner.
I think some of the alignment pins are only 5mm, not 6. You can buy a set but a few drill bits will do, according to some Youtube vids I've seen - there's no actual torsion or clamping on them and the holes aren't threaded.
While you're at it, the auxiliary belt is about a tenner, tensioner complete £50-ish although you can buy just the idler wheel for it for about £16 - it's more likely the inner bearing that would die than the tension spring.
Someone on Ebay does a pdf download of the Ford manual but the hyperlinks in it of course don't work; that aside it could be useful.
It does show a crank locking tool that requires the starter motor to be removed, then you bolt it in and it wedges into the flywheel teeth. However, none of the Youtube vids I've seen show that being used; perhaps the most benefit would be for undoing and torqueing the crank bolt - most people use an impact driver that shocks it free. I guess for reassembly you could torque it to 35Nm, drop it on the wheels and have someone stand on the brakes with it in gear on full lock so you can get in with a long extension - a couple of paint spots on bolt and pulley will show it's moved far enough (the pulley is keyed so it can't turn and if the crank does move it'll be in the right direction).

Near enough the same then. I think they're all 1560cc?

Edit: Hmm, now I'm not sure. Seems there is a 1499cc variant, but it's just a reduced bore as far as I can see - and I think it uses variable vane turbo where the 1560 is fixed. If I'm wrong, blame the internet

Apparently you could buy a Connect with the 1.0L, but apart from a florist's delivery van I wouldn't fancy it's chances on longevity with a lot of trades.

A quick look at the Gates catalogue (as I had it bookmarked) shows the same belt/tensioner/pump kit for the 1.5 2015-on in both 74kW and 88kW as the 2013-on 1.6 85kW... so as above, probably only the bore is different.
Interesting that the 1.5 had a higher-output version than the 1.6, I wonder if that's something to do with the variable turbo
