Torn on whether to bid on this lot..

I really can't make my mind up. I don't want or need the lathe - but the steadies I could use and the mountain of stuff that comes with it contains some nice bits that I wouldn't mind getting my hands on.

I wonder if I could make most or all of my money back selling the machine and some chucks so I can keep the bits I want? Hard to tell from the pic what actual state the gear is in.

Well, I wouldn't unless I had a lot of space. On the other hand, if you have a Viceroy, and this one mught be better than yours, and you might want to swap bits...

I've an 800 Bantam, and although I've sorted a lot of it - new seals etc - I'm tempted every time I see a 1600 version. But then I have nowhere to put it. It would stop my work stone dead till it was gone, and my track record on selling stuff is appalling.

I do have a Viceroy but it's later and in full working order. The steadies might not even fit since there's a 1/2" centre-height increase in the timeline somewhere so I've decided to give it a miss. It would fill up my workshop anyway and I'm part-way through re-building my Monarch.
