Just wondering if anyone has come up with a good solution for lighting when welding and also shotblasting, Ive been looking into head torches but theres so freakin many of them its baffeling.
For shotblasting I use a homemade handlamp, from a (Metro) headlamp bulb & holder.
You need to get the light close to the work otherwise the dust just disperses the light and throws it back into your eyes, like driving in fog on full beam.
I use bulkhead lamps, about a fiver from Screwfix for background lighting and a couple of 12v LED lights maintained from a car battery in case the mains fails.
