Just bought a new Binzel torch and notice that the liner fits right up to the tip, is this normal ? also, the tip seems very close to the shroud, how far in from the front should the tip be ?
Talking of euro torches, my old torch has a bit broken off where it plugs into the socket, it's the brass bit with the o-ring for the gas, is there a repair available for this or will I have to machine something up ?

The liner should go into the back of the tip adapter (gas diffuser) on a Binzel torch.

As the euro connector is a lump of brass I doubt they would waste a lot of material machining the gas spigot so it will probably unscrew or in your case you will have to extract the remains or drill / tap it out.

Liner should go right to the tip adaptor, and tip should be 3 mm in or so.

With regard to repairing the old one, i can picture the bit you mean, but unsure as to wheter its replaceable. If it is, i expect there might be someone here with a few beyond repair kicking around that would be willing to rob that bit off for you....

When I've stripped the euro connectors down to segregate the scrap (company policies ) parts like the gas spigot are fitted very tightly with thread lock, so attempting to remove them would probably destroy them.
