Went to weld something for the first time in a while and when no wire fed I discovered this:
I can strip and crimp on a new bullet connector okay but I don’t know what to do about the pogo pin side of the wire. Is it pressed in, how do I remove it?
Figured it out - grab the pogo pin with some parallel pliers and pull forwards and it will come together with the black plastic sleeve.
Surprisingly the cable is crimped not soldered so some persuasion with the tip of a scribe pried it open enough to get the wire back in and recrimped.
I also discovered a missing screw that held the strain relief on - an m3.5 (diabolical!)
Another note for future me: the feed wire liner is just big enough to fit 1.75mm 3d printer filament if some bonehead snips it rather than pull the remaining wire back.
And all this was to weld up a 30x5 U shaped bracket for the lawnmower that is £50 as an oem part.
