I use an LED Nightsearcher Zoom-1000R torch daily for work. It's brilliant tbh.
One downside if you will is that on it's highest setting the lens end gets hot. So hot, if you were to put it on you palm it would burn you. Place down on paper and it will fairly soon set fire to it.
I was inspecting something one day and the next thing the end of the torch is smoking. I must have got some grease or oil on it. Not tbh the first time this has happened.
Now the lens is melted and misshapen.
Not sure if it's just something that would have happened anyway or that the grease/oil accelerated it.
Anyone know where to get spares? My Googling has drawn a blank.
