I have an old welding unit... bought many years ago... payed with a couple of times but now the urge to weld has returned
The info on the panel over the adjuster bar window has mostly fallen off with the paint. What I do have is Topweld 140 and what looks like a double S logo on the front (is it a Sealey???) and where the adjuster bar shows I can make out the remnants at the right hand end which read 2.6mm then 2.65mm (I think) and below that reads "continuous" again I think. The other end paint is missing and completely unreadable. Can anyone give me the detail on what should be written on the scale and I can make up a gaffer tape label?
I have to get a mask before I fire it up... any advice on price/type? Are the £30 approx ones with auto darkening screen any good? Seen loads of different types on ebay. Thank you in advance for your help.
