Yes I was the same, will have to watch it again on i player as I missed a good chunk through the tears!!Anyone watch last nights episode with Clarkson in the back of his Ambulance with the dummy...i had tears running down my face with laughter

It's on tonight at 7, set record now.
To be honest I thought the "Ambulance" was one of the silliest yet. I like the programme but last night was poor in my opinion. American style, in your face, slapstick humour performed by less than professional actors.
Based on the earlier posts it just goes to show that one mans meat is another mans poison.
I enjoyed some of the other bits though.

I found it entertaining, a bunch of middle age men messing about is actually entertaining, no more silly than "men behaving badly" program, I know it's all scripted up, but what other program do they have this sillyness, firing patients through the window, or Jeremy nearly sucking a dummy's genitals, brilliant

The car might well be getting faster as it get's a few miles under the engine. It's probably only ever done a couple of thousand in total.
That's strange 'cos the ambulance one is the first time in quite a while that TG has actually made me laugh, having said that... the St Petersburg race was just a boring re-hash of the London race (they even admitted that themselves), the OZ episode was very repetitive and the idea has been done multiple times before (ooh look we'll take some cars designed for 'X' location and stick them in the complete opposite location), the Patagonia 'special' was anything but, it was just plain boring.
I know it's all set up but it was better when it wasn't quite so obvious, and it's pretty clear that they have run out of ideas but unfortunately it's a big cash earner for the BBC so they don't want to put it out of it's misery.
Oh here we go with the excuses

I saw the new "classic Car show" on CH5 it was awful, a serious car show about classic cars, dire. I'll stick with the silliness of Top Gear thanks very much.

I've come to consider "Top Gear" very much a new version of "Last of The Summer Wine", with cars.

It helps to stop thinking of top gear as a car show. It stopped being that a log time ago, now ta an entertainment show with cars, and I like it

But seriously there are obviously so many factors involved I wouldn't like to say which is the fastest guy other than the car seems to be going faster and faster.
