Top tips for making a press

I need a press. Just for general stuff I need to remove a motor bike swinging arm in a week or two and thought this would be an easier solution
I have a Portapower and was thinking of making one of these.

Whats peoples thoughts?
Any one local got any spare steel?
I was going to make a traditional style one but the cost of the steel its cheaper to buy I felt this would be easier from off cuts?

Might be off topic, but that ad says it can be used for bending. How would you do that? Would it be able to bend curves, with the addition of some bend radius?

The pivot pin is pressed in, and I could use it for a few other bots and bobs

Wow, seems a bit unusual. Id be tempted to use a long length of pipe and threaded bar, like using sockets to pull bearings.
EDIT: having a very dim moment, the pin wont be hollow. Ill go sit in the corner.

Now you have me thinking it might be hollow I will look but I wonder if I could use my bearing puller?

I used to own a 06 fireblade and was picturing its hollow swingarm pivot in my mind when i posted my reply.
I suppose you might be able to use a slide hammer, im so used to having to make do and mend, limited resources.

Not had chance to look at it yet, half way through building a frame jig so hoping later this week or next
